- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and cloves.
In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
